Seaview Girls’ Brigade is a Christian uniformed youth organisation that provides girls with fun activities giving the opportunity to grow and develop life skills and follow their faith journey.
Seaview GB is one of over 200 GB Companies throughout Northern Ireland. We meet in Seaview Presbyterian Church, Shore Road, Belfast on Monday evenings. This year is an exciting one for us as we celebrate 80 years.
The girls are divided into different sections according to their ages by 1st July:
Tinies aged 3 and 4 yrs
Explorers aged 5 to 7 yrs
Juniors aged 8 to 11 yrs
Seniors aged 12 to 14 yrs
Brigaders aged 15 to 18 yrs.
We have a great FUN programme which focuses on the girls and building their confidence, self-esteem, skills and aims to provide them with activities that they don’t normally have the opportunity to participate in. We encourage the girls to take part in many opportunities provided by GBNI and our District: competitions, sports, services etc. We also offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme for those aged 14 to 25. Our older girls are encouraged to become young leaders, helping out in the sections and then going on to undertake training to become sub officers.
In 2025-26 – our theme is ‘Meeting Jesus’.
